I feel like this needs to be said

Things that are okay

  • Accidentally ruining someone’s work and apologizing for it
  • Intentionally ruining someone’s work and apologizing it for it (and meaning it)

Things that are not okay

  • Ruining someone’s work and not telling them
  • Ruining someone’s work and not apologizing
  • Ruining someone’s work and blaming someone else
  • Ruining someone’s work and boasting about it
  • Ruining someone’s work to make fun of them
  • Ruining someone’s work and laughing about it

This is the person’s personal creation. It is like you are destroying their soul. At least tell them and apologize for it, regardless of whether or not it was purposeful.

It doesn’t matter whose it is, what it is, or what it’s for. Don’t break people’s personal creations and act like it’s okay.

All natural vs. a ton of makeup. If I showed this to any person I know that they would say only the person on the right is beautiful. I don’t think that’s right. It took me an HOUR to do all of this. The fact that society expects a girl to spend so much time on something so trivial is crazy to me. It’s not right that girls are expected to look like the one on the right all the time. I think that both sides are beautiful in their own way. Natural beauty should be something that people want. It should not be something that should be hidden. Natural beauty is the most beautiful of any and it saddens me that that’s not really the case in our world. People should be able to go out looking like the left picture and not be afraid of people judging them, seeing their flaws, and mocking them. People should never be ashamed of who they are. Just because I can take an hour to make myself look like the right picture doesn’t mean that I want to. Who wants to wake up an hour earlier then they need to? I don’t, and the fact that our society today expects that is terrible. There is so much pressure to be perfect, to have perfect bodies like the models on the runways, to have flawless skin like celebrity’s in magazines, to have long, smooth hair like the celebrities we see everywhere, etc. The worst part is that it’s not even achievable most the time. Photoshop is used everywhere. Hours are spent by people whose job it is to achieve this “perfection” we see everywhere. It’s not real. Not really. Sure there are beautiful people out there but usually when you see a picture of a celebrity nowadays you know photoshop was used to “perfect” them. It’s awful because it makes people strive for something they can’t achieve, and when they inevitably don’t they feel terrible about themselves because they can’t look the way they are expected to. I say screw that. I’m done with society’s idea of perfection. I’m doing what I want and if that’s the picture on the left, that’s great. I know I’m not perfect but I don’t care, this is me and I’m not changing. I know society only accepts the one on the right and that makes me sick. I wish everyone could just be accepted the way they are. Society needs to change.
